The International SOS Foundation was started with a grant from International SOS in 2011. It is an independent, not-for-profit organisation with goal to improve the health, safety, security and well-being of people working away from home, internationally and on assignment.
The Foundation has five goals:

  2. Educate: Provide information to workers and contractors, employers and government on risks.
  3. Strengthen corporate social responsibility in areas in proximity to worksites
  4. Develop  international instrument for risk mitigation
  5. Disseminate information on risks in a variety of formats

Key activities of the foundation include research and education on topics concerning Duty of Care, travel risk management and work health.

The Foundation is separately funded and operated from the International SOS business.
