Franck Baron named Corporate Risk Manager of the Year at 18th Asia Insurance Industry Awards

Franck Baron, Group General Manager for Risk Management & Insurance, has been recognised for his achievements in promoting a strong risk management culture at International SOS.
The Asia Insurance Industry Awards have recognised excellence across Asia since 1997.
This win marks the first time a Risk Manager has won the award from outside the financial and insurance sectors. The judges on the panel said:
“Mr Baron’s work in the Group has seen the rise of a culture which promotes risk management as every manager’s responsibility to empower the company to be risk aware, to take ownership of risk management and to manage such risks efficiently and effectively.”
Franck has focused on strategic initiatives such as mergers & acquisitions, partnerships, budgeting, security and financing. He serves as Chairman of PARIMA, the Pan-Asian Risk Insurance Management Association, in Singapore.
Franck is also a contributor to the International SOS Foundation’s Global Framework: Safety, health and security for work-related international travel and assignments, an award-winning paper that helps organisations put into place good practices to reduce travel, health and security risks for their employees and assignees.
