“Health and travel safety threats come in a wide range of guises and in today’s environment can often be complex, requiring the understanding, response and support of a number of health and security risk related services. Organizations are seeking a simple, effective and holistic program that helps them and their mobile workforce prepare and manage the unexpected, both medically and security related” said Grant Jeffery, CEO Americas, International SOS.  “With direct market feedback, we developed this program to enable organizations to execute on global business initiatives while helping them to fulfil their Duty of Care responsibilities for their business travelers and international assignees.”

A recent Ipsos MORI study of global business decision-makers bears this out. The surveyshowed that 79-percent of respondents in North America believe risk has increased in the past 12 months while half said they expected their investment in travel risk mitigation to increase this year. While headline-making terrorist attacks, civil unrest and Zika are top concerns, other issues, which are often more frequently disruptive to business travel include road accidents, petty crime and health issues. With so many concerns on the corporate agenda, the study reveals a need for organizations to have a reliable source of objective advice to identify issues and provide appropriate travel risk management solutions.

The Global Risk Management Program helps allay these concerns by providing a holistic and seamless service. An initial travel risk management roadmap assessment reviews an organizations travel risk profile, to determine a program of preventative measures combined with critical issues response mechanisms organizations immediately benefit from digital learning and real time traveler tracking, integrated with a global incident response platform providing 24/7 access to doctors and security specialists online, on-call and on the ground.

This solution is backed by 27 global Assistance Centers and more than 5,800 dedicated medical and security professionals in over 90 countries.
