International SOS and Vodafone agree new partnership

International SOS and Vodafone today announced a new partnership with the signing of three new contracts that will focus on the provision of a range of integrated communications services.

Under the first agreement, Vodafone will manage mobility services for around 1,300 employees in a number of key markets. The new contract will help International SOS reduce the complexity of managing its mobile communications.

With International SOS’ global communications becoming ever-more sophisticated, the Group has also signed a contract for Vodafone Telecoms Management. This suite of services allows International SOS to manage all its fixed and mobile telecoms services centrally, giving it greater visibility over usage and spend per user either by region or business unit.

Finally, Vodafone has also won a contract for cloud and hosting services in the UK. This provides International SOS with a secure IT infrastructure to host a range of applications. The flexible computing service allows the company to scale its IT resources to meet its business requirements, meaning it only has to pay for what it needs.

Richard Davies, Chief Information Officer at International SOS said:

“Having good, reliable communications isn’t just important to the smooth running of our business, it is essential. With every single call potentially a lifeline, it was vital that we teamed up with a global operator whose coverage was particularly robust in the regions where we operate. With Vodafone’s strength and experience in our key markets, the company seemed a natural fit. And it’s not just about having the right communications in place. Vodafone’s Telecoms Management service allows us to track usage and spending across multiple providers and countries, while its cloud and hosting services allow us to only pay for the services we use and to respond rapidly to changing business needs.”

President Asia and Africa, Vodafone Global Enterprise, Stevan Hoyle, said:

“International SOS plays an important role in helping multi-nationals keep their employees safe and healthy, and with communications being the life blood of the company, it is testament to Vodafone’s prowess as a total communications provider that we have been chosen to play such a pivotal role in providing International SOS with a range of integrated communications services.”
