Crew and Guest Safety is Top Priority for Organisers of Superyacht Cup

MedAire, an International SOS company, is once again providing onsite medical support during the Superyacht Cup regatta in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
As part of our dedication to yacht safety, MedAire will assist with any medical events that occur during the regatta, whether on the water or at shore.  Race crew will also have complimentary access to additional assistance via MedAire’s MedLink, a medical support service which provides access to highly qualified doctors.

Tony Nicholson, MedAire’s Sales Director for Luxury Yachts in Palma said:
“The Superyacht Cup is an amazing event and brings together some of the premier yachts and race crew.
While we’re on site to assist in the event of an accident, we are also providing pre-race safety briefings to aide in reducing preventable medical incidents.”

The medical support provided by MedAire is in addition to the local emergency services and is an important part of overall event safety.

“Providing the onsite medic support is one way we support the yacht and racing community” added Tony Nicholson. "Many of the entrants are MedAire clients and enjoy the added peace of mind that their medical assistance provider is as close as a phone call during the regatta.”

MedAire provides onboard medical training, medical kits, and remote medical assistance services to yachts around the world and has representatives in key yachting destinations, including Palma, Fort Lauderdale, Antibes, Singapore and Auckland.

The 2013 Superyacht Cup Regatta is set to take place from the 19-22 June in Palma, Mallorca.
