International SOS and its joint venture partner, Control Risks, announced a major upgrade to its TravelTracker service, which connects globally-mobile employees  and organizations - including corporate security, travel and human resource teams - via email and SMS* communications.

Among the new functionalities available via TravelTracker:
Alerts to managers on incidents around the world with improved geographic relevance and more details providing a clearer picture of the client's risk exposure. New domestic/international traveler filter in location search, which allows users to distinguish quickly between their domestic and international travelers in times of severe travel disruptions to help target any support needed.

Code share flight information - search results include all travelers booked on a flight regardless of which airline they booked through. Access to travel reservations made on the TravelSky global distribution system, adding coverage of bookings in China.

We've been providing TravelTracker to our members since 2001 and thanks to our members' feedback we update its functionality and features all the time," said Kate Holden, Senior Vice President and Group GM, Information and Tracking Services for International SOS. "As travel conditions are changing, a travel tracking service always has to be up to date and offer the highest quality at all times."

TravelTracker helps organizations act immediately during a critical event by identifying travellers at risk and facilitating communications with them through integrated email and optional SMS. Employers have 24/7 web-based access to a simple, aggregated view of their employees' travel. In the event of an incident, there is no need to go back to multiple travel agencies to reconstruct international journeys. Fully integrated with the corporate membership program, employee data is also accessible by calling an International SOS assistance center. Users can also access TravelTracker through their web-enabled mobile device.

TravelTracker provides a single, automated platform for implementing policies at every stage of the travel risk management lifecycle and enables companies to help fulfill their duty of care obligations.
