South Sudan evacuation summary
London
International SOS and Control Risks have now completed the majority of their evacuations from South Sudan.
On behalf of 25 different organisations, nearly 250 members were evacuated from the country during the recent conflict.
These movements involved a combination of charter aircraft and scheduled airlines. Individuals were initially taken to Nairobi (Kenya), Kampala (Uganda) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates) with hotels and onward travel also arranged.
Support has also been provided to organisations, employees and individuals wishing to remain in South Sudan. This included the internal relocation of local national staff from affected remote locations to the capital, Juba.
As well as having a presence on the ground in Juba, travel security experts working for International SOS and Control Risks were also stationed in Kenya, Uganda and Dubai at various times during the crisis.
